About Tax Cloud

Tax Cloud offers businesses a guided, innovative, cost-effective online tool to help them through the R&D Tax Credits claim process. We are committed to creating cutting-edge technology solutions to disrupt the traditional R&D tax consultancy industry. Currently, our software development is outsourced to a UK digital agency. Your mission will be to bring this expertise in-house by assembling and leading a top-notch development team. This role is perfect for a Senior Developer or Full-Stack Engineer looking to transition into a leadership position while staying 75% hands-on.

Role and Responsibilities

As the Software Development Team Leader, you will:

• Lead a team of talented developers: Oversee UX/UI designers, front-end, and back-end developers.
• Conduct comprehensive planning and discovery sessions: Gather information and create detailed project plans, including specifications, concept maps, user definitions, journeys, and sitemaps.
• Assign tasks and manage deadlines: Ensure each team member understands their responsibilities and project timelines.
• Maintain high productivity and quality standards: Drive your team to deliver exceptional work consistently.
• Develop and enhance software solutions: Work on new applications while maintaining and improving existing ones.
• Oversee the QA testing process: Ensure all software meets our quality standards before deployment.
• Provide IT support: Assist internal staff with software and hardware issues as needed.

Required Experience

We are looking for someone with at least five years of experience in the following:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of software development methodologies and lifecycle.
• Proficient in C#, .NET using ASP.NET, HTML, CSS and jQuery.
• Involved in developing SaaS application software.
